As the Melbourne DOP for 'Safer With a Gun', I collaborated with directors Jessica Rae and Robert Spence to achieve a cinematic aesthetic inspired by the film 'Joker'

The idea of this music video was to have a similar feel and look to the movie ‘Joker’
I was brought on as the dp and began some lens and colour tests as I needed to be sure, come day of shooting, that we knew exactly what the look and feel was, so no surprises.
Also seeing as this music video was also going to be screen in a movie theatre, my thought was go big or go home, so the anamorphic wide screen was mentioned and it was taken on board. So ultra wide panavision it was and it looked amazing on the big screen at The Lido Cinema in Hawthorn, Melbourne.
