DJI Phantom 4 Pro.
This is my usual set up and up to 4K 50 fps. This is very adequate and I have seen the footage on a cinema screen at The Astor Theatre, in St. Kilda, Melbourne, for a short called ‘Blvck Gold’, which screened at The St. Kilda Film Festival, 2022.

I have full CASA licenses and certification.
Remote Pilots License sub 25 kilos (RePL)
Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC)
Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operations Certificate (ReOC)

Every job will go through AVCRM and detailed with aerial view, airspace classification, radio frequencies, gps location with operational zones, exclusion zones, landing zones.
A job safety and risk assessment is also provided.
I have flight liability for 20 million.

I can also liaise with CASA for flights within 5.5 km of an airport, councils, if on council land or roads, Parks Victoria and the military if flying in restricted airspace.


DJI Matrice 600.
This is for the heavy lifting cinema camera or mirrorless camera. Can also handle Tital nucleus wireless follow focus. DJI Ronin MX gimbal mounted to the drone. This requires compatible leads for the camera required.
This drone starts as $1250 per flight.

DJI Phantom 4 Pro
Basic drone operations start at $300. This is usually enough for AVCRM, flight check, paperwork and flight.
Drone operations that require council or Parks Victoria approval start from $350 (excluding any council approval fees).
Drone operations that requires C.A.S.A./ Civil Aviation Safety Authority start at $500, due to having to have extra paperwork and approvals, an extra person (spotter) may also be required adding to the cost. (excluding any C.A.S.A. approval fees)
Drone operations requiring Military / Flight Squadron Commanders approval, start at $1250, also depending on location, and extra cost for travel outside of Melbourne. (excluding any military approval fees)
